Our Team

Dr. Charles Grannum was born at Saint John’s Hospital in Brooklyn and has resided in Clinton Hill for over 50 years. He received his Bachelors Degree in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and Doctorate of Dental Medicine from Fairleigh Dickinson University School of Dentistry. He completed General Practice Residencies at Woodhull and Harlem Hospital. Dr. Grannum obtained a certificate in Prosthodontics from Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery and is currently one of the few Board-Certified Prosthodontists in Private Practice in Brooklyn.

Dr.  Grannum was the Director of the General Practice Residency at Interfaith Medical Center. He is a member of the American College of Prosthodontics, The American Board of Prosthodontics, The International Congress of Oral Implantology, The American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics, The New York State Dental Association, The American Dental Association, The National Dental Association and International Congress of Oral Implantologist.

Dr. Grannum has been recognized for excellence in his field by Columbia University, Harlem Hospital, Bronx Lebanon Hospital and The American Dental Association among others. He has served as President / Board Member of the Protestant Board of Guardians, Pratt Area Community Council and Interfaith Medical Center. His dedication and contributions to the community have been recognized by Emmanuel Baptist Church, Brown Memorial Baptist Church, Bridge Street AWME Church and St. Stephen and St. Martin’s Episcopal Church. 

Dr Grannum is CEO of Fort Greene Clinton Hill Dental Specialty Group located in Historic Clinton Hill where he also resides.

Dr. Michael L Bolden is a native of Chicago Illinois, born in 1959.  He matriculated from Kenwood Academy, home to Chaka Khan and R. Kelly, in 1977.  He is a 1981 graduate of Boston College, majoring in Biology and Psychology.  He attended Howard University College of Dentistry along with his sister Kimberley (1983) and cousin Debra Turnquest (1984), where he was Class President and Student Council President.  He graduated in 1986 and attended the General Practice Residency Program at Harlem Hospital Center in NYC for two years.  He was then accepted to the Post-Doctoral Program in Periodontics at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine, where he matriculated in 1990. 

Dr. Bolden started his private practice limited to Periodontics and Implants in Harlem in 1990 and in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn in 1991.  He taught at Columbia University School of Dental Medicine from 1990 to 2010, where he reached Associate Clinical Professor of Periodontics.  He has been an Attending Periodontist at Harlem Hospital Center form 1990 to present, working with the three ADA accredited programs in OMFS, Pediatric Dentistry, and General Practice. 

Dr. Bolden has lectured extensively over the past 30 years to organizations such as the First District Dental Society of NY, Bronx County Dental Society, National Dental Association, Pelican State Dental Society (Baton Rouge. LA), Old Dominion Dental Society (Tidewater area, VA).  He has been a consultant to pharmaceutical companies such as Orapharma/Collagenex and had a three-year commercial for Sensodyne toothpaste in 2006.  

He is a member of the American Dental Association, National Dental Association, American College of Dentists, American Academy of Periodontology, New York Dental Board Trustee, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon, Epsilon Epsilon Chapter (Columbia University).  He has been named Attending of the Year at Harlem Hospital Center 8 times over the past 34 years and recognized as a Distinguished Alumni by the Department of Periodontology at Columbia in 2017.  

Dr. Bolden has been married to Fran Cook-Bolden, MD, a Dermatologist and Researcher and a Howard Med graduate, for 36 years.  They have three children, including twin boys and none of them have followed their parents in the Medical/Dental fields.  

Dr. Raven Drummond is a native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn. She received a B.S. in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology from Emory University and Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Howard University. After graduating dental school Dr. Drummond returned  to New York to complete Harlem Hospital general practice residency and then practiced as a general dentist for two and a half years in NYC. It was here that she developed a love for endodontic therapy and thus decided to pursue her postdoctoral degree in endodontics from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine 

Dr. Drummond is wholeheartedly committed to her patients and the practice of endodontics. She is an active member of the American Association of Endodontics and she takes pride in ensuring a positive, comforting experience for her patients while providing thorough and detailed care that improves the dental health of her patients.

Dr. Drummond currently lives in Brooklyn with her husband, son and daughter. During her free time she enjoys working out, discovering new local restaurants, traveling and spending time with her family.
